From Kathmandu, we embark on a lengthy journey of approximately 8 hours to reach Syabru Besi. As we cover a distance of 30 kilometers, we pass through unspoiled villages situated along the picturesque Trishuli River. During this part of the drive, we are treated to magnificent vistas of prominent mountain ranges such as Annapurna, Manaslu, Ganesh Himal, and the peaks of the Langtang region.

Date : 2024-12-15

Our trek commences today as we follow the ridge along the main road of Syabru Besi and soon arrive at Ghopcha Khola. As we progress, we are greeted by terraced fields and dense forests teeming with a diverse range of plant species, including oaks, maple, alder, and bamboo. It is possible to encounter various wildlife species on our journey, such as the yellow-throated martin, wild boar, langur monkey, red panda, and Himalayan black bear. Continuing along the trail, we cross a stream and pass several small tea shops known as bhattis. As we ascend steeply, we eventually reach a steel suspension bridge at the altitude of 2000 meters, where we cross to the north bank of the Langtang Khola, surrounded by breathtaking views of cascading waterfalls. Finally, at an elevation of 2748 meters, we reach Lama Hotel, where we will spend the night.

Date : 2024-12-16

Leaving Lama Hotel behind, we begin our ascent above the Langtang Khola, where the trail gradually becomes steeper. This vantage point offers us a magnificent view of the majestic Langtang Lirung, which soars to an impressive height of 7,246 meters. Continuing our journey, we cross a log bridge and proceed towards the picturesque meadows of Ghora Tabela, situated at an elevation of 3,000 meters. At Ghora Tabela, we’ll encounter several lodges and a police check post. As we continue on, the landscape expands into a wide valley adorned with yak pastures and scattered Tamang villages, featuring water-driven mills and prayer wheels. Our destination is Langtang village, located at an altitude of 3,500 meters, which serves as the headquarters for Langtang National Park.

On this day, the trail meanders gently through lush yak pastures and captivating traditional villages of Muna and Singdun. We navigate a wooden cantilever bridge and continue our journey, crossing a wide valley by ascending over the glacial moraine. Eventually, we undertake a climb through the mountain pass that leads us to Kyangjin Gompa. At Kyangjin Gompa, we find a small monastery and a cheese factory, adding to the charm of this remarkable location.

Date : 2024-12-18

From Kyangjin, we begin our return journey towards Lama Hotel. Following the same route, we trace our steps back, walking alongside the Langtang Khola until we reach Langtang village and then proceed to Ghora Tabela. We pause briefly for lunch before continuing our descent, which is steep, until we reach Lama Hotel.

Date : 2024-12-19

Starting from Lama Hotel, we make our way back to Syabru Besi, where we can immerse ourselves in the rich ancient culture and traditions of the Tamang community. Afterward, we embark on a drive back to Kathmandu. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, you will spend the night at a hotel.
