The best time to visit Chitwan is during the dry season, from October to March, when wildlife is more likely to be seen around water sources. The weather is cooler, and wildlife spotting is at its peak. Monsoon season (June to September) is less favorable due to heavy rainfall.
Chitwan is home to diverse wildlife, including the Bengal tiger, one-horned rhinoceros, Asian elephants, sloth bears, wild boar, deer, and hundreds of bird species. It’s a great place for wildlife enthusiasts and photographers.
The safari usually lasts 2 to 3 hours, either by jeep, elephant, or on foot, depending on the type of safari you choose. Full-day safaris with additional activities like canoe rides or bird-watching tours are also available.
