Description

The Glacier Express is often referred to as the “slowest express train in the world,” but what it lacks in speed, it makes up for in spectacular views. Traversing between the resort towns of Zermatt and St. Moritz, this iconic journey takes you across 291 bridges, through 91 tunnels, and over the Oberalp Pass at 2,033 meters above sea level. With panoramic windows, onboard dining, and commentary, it’s a relaxing and immersive way to experience the raw beauty of Switzerland.

In this 2-day itinerary, you’ll start your adventure in Zermatt, a car-free town nestled at the base of the Matterhorn. After a day exploring, you’ll board the Glacier Express the next morning for a full-day journey through lush valleys, snow-covered peaks, and charming Swiss towns before reaching St. Moritz, known for its luxury resorts and serene lakeside setting.
