Itineraries

14-Day Itinerary

  • Arrive in Kathmandu and transfer to your hotel.
  • Rest and explore the city.
  • Prepare for the trek, ensuring all necessary permits and equipment are ready.

  • Take a 30-35 minute scenic flight from Kathmandu to Lukla, a small mountain airstrip.
  • Begin the trek to Phakding, passing through small villages and lush forests.
  • Overnight stay at a teahouse in Phakding.

  • Follow the Dudh Koshi River and cross several suspension bridges.
  • Trek through pine forests, ascending gradually towards Namche Bazaar, the main trading center of the Khumbu region.
  • First views of Mount Everest can be seen along the way.
  • Overnight stay in Namche Bazaar.

  • Rest day for acclimatization to help the body adjust to the higher altitude.
  • Optional hike to the Everest View Hotel (3,880m / 12,729 ft) for panoramic views of Everest, Lhotse, and Ama Dablam.
  • Visit the Sherpa Culture Museum or explore local markets.
  • Overnight stay in Namche Bazaar.

  • Trek through rhododendron forests with stunning views of the Himalayas.

  • Trek from Lobuche to Gorak Shep, then continue towards Everest Base Camp.
  • Walk on a glacial path with rocky and uneven terrain.
  • Reach EBC, where you can see climbers preparing for their expeditions during the climbing seasons.
  • Return to Gorak Shep for an overnight stay.

  • Early morning hike to Kala Patthar for a sunrise view of Mount Everest and other peaks.
  • Descend to Pheriche, retracing the trail downhill.
  • Overnight stay in Pheriche.

  • Follow the trail back to Namche Bazaar, passing through familiar terrain and villages.
  • Enjoy the decrease in altitude and increasing oxygen levels.

  • Descend further through the forests and cross suspension bridges, retracing the path to Lukla.
  • Celebrate the completion of the trek.

  • Early morning flight from Lukla to Kathmandu.
  • Free day for sightseeing, shopping, or relaxation.

  • Transfer to the airport for your departure flight.
